I was really impressed with the decor at La Panthère Verte. There were hints of green all over and beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. This restaurant is a café type, where you order at the front and then bring your food to a table. While there were some gluten free options, there weren’t as many as I had hoped. I was a little disappointed that there were no gluten free bread options, as the sandwiches all looked amazing. If you eat gluten, I definitely recommend this place to try. I ended up eating the 2 specials of the day: the vegetable curry with rice and the mushroom soup. While both were good, they were nothing I couldn’t create at home.
The staff were extremely helpful at explaining their restaurant to me and were very nice with finding out the ingredients in some of their dishes. I liked how they had prepared foods ready to go and I also liked that the food was organic.
Prices are very reasonable – approximately $7 CAD – $9 CAD for the sandwiches.
I think my experience would have been very different had they had more gluten free options – I really wish they did.
