Sometimes you just crave a smoothie; a refreshing, cold smoothie. If you’re like me, you crave these regularly. Smoothies are a great way to consume large amounts of fruit in one shot and also a great way to satisfy a sweet tooth in a healthy manner. You can drink them as a meal substitute or to compliment any meal. I’m pretty picky when it comes to smoothies and I definitely believe that bad smoothies do exist – although I think that’s a hard feat to accomplish.

Liquid Nutrition is the ultimate smoothie spot. There were so many appealing options that I truly had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to try. One thing I was not impressed with was their inability to trade out one fruit for another without an extra cost. Unfortunately, I have an allergy to strawberries. This makes buying smoothies a hard task sometimes, as strawberries are a very common smoothie ingredient. And rightly so! They are delicious. Most smoothie joints I have visited are pretty accomodating with allergies and just sub out strawberries free of charge, so I was a little disappointed that Liquid Nutrition was not one of these. On the other hand, all ingredients used in the drinks at Liquid Nutrition are organic, so that definitely gets an A+ in my books.

I ended up ordering the ‘Yummy Avocado & Kale’ and was shocked at how large it was. If you’re hungry, this will definitely fill you up! It was pretty good, although a little too sour for my liking. Next time I will go with one of the sweeter smoothies, as there were a plethora of those that looked incredible.

Prices aren’t cheap, at each smoothie costing $9 CAD – $11 CAD.
