Avenida 24 de Julho - Cais do Sodre
Lisbon, Portugal

This newly renovated agora, formerly devoted to the food stalls of an ordinary market, has been transformed by the company Time Out. After only a few weeks since its grand opening, it has become one of the locals’ favorite; a huge a posh canteen where one finds himself picking from a selection of delicious food in a joyful spirit. Aligned are a few dozens of stands offering worldwide cuisines represented by different chefs and restaurants of Lisbon, all under the same refined black and white signage.

The atmosphere is trendy. The enveloping glass dome allows a thoughtful amount of natural light to penetrate for a welcoming outdoor setting. A true sense of community can be felt at the tables, people of all ages everywhere come here to connect and share their passion for good food. Thinking of sharing a few entrées concocted by some of Portugal’s finest chefs? Totally possible, and for the modest cost of six to ten euros.wpid-2015-08-21-01.36.59-1.jpg.jpeg

The most memorable and effortless place for vegans to indulge comes in the form of an organic stand, full of fresh juices and raw salads. The cucumber chili salad, tomato and basil salad and zucchini noodles are all extremely recommended.

Also available for vegans, is the fresh juice stand located in the middle of the buzzing market. There is a menu of juice combinations for your choosing. wpid-2015-08-21-01.36.55-1.jpg.jpeg

This market is not one you will want to miss out on. It is well worth the trip for any visitor or local. One of our favorite spots in Lisbon, dining here is a must.
