Il Margutta is a vegetarian fine dining restaurant. Located near the Piazza del Popolo, Il Margutta offers a more fancy night out for those who would like that. Reservations are preferred, as it typically gets very busy for dinner. Important to note is that the restaurant does close from the hours of 3-7 pm, so this is not the place for a mid-afternoon snack.
My experience at Il Margutta was enjoyable, although not anything to write home to mom about. I was seated outside in a little serene patio, blocked off from the main road by bushes. It reminded me of a stereotypical Italian scene that you’d see in a movie – and I loved it.
The service at Il Margutta was good; the servers were very attentive and checked on me frequently. I had a couple questions about menu ingredients and the server was nice enough to go check with the chef to clarify.
